I'm a
A passionate DevOps Engineer who loves building reliable systems, automating workflows, and learning new tech.
About Me
DevOps Engineer. Cloud Architect. Automation Enthusiast.
I'm a London-based DevOps Engineer with deep experience in AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD. I design scalable cloud infrastructure, automate deployment workflows, and solve real-world engineering problems with a focus on speed, reliability, and maintainability.
I care about clean architecture, smart automation, and making systems that just work. Whether it's cutting deployment times, improving uptime, or reducing cloud costs, I bring a mindset of precision and continuous improvement to every project.
I’ve helped teams migrate to cloud-native stacks, build robust monitoring and alerting systems, and streamline release cycles with zero-downtime deployments. I believe anything repeatable should be automated — and anything automated should be simple to maintain.
I enjoy working with cross-functional teams, mentoring junior engineers, and staying curious — always exploring new tools and better ways to build resilient infrastructure.

Professional Experience
DevOps Engineer
2021 - Present
The Travel Corporation
- Designed and deployed Amazon EKS clusters using CloudFormation for scalable infrastructure provisioning.
- Migrated monolithic CMS applications to an event-driven microservices architecture on Kubernetes/EKS, growing the platform to 250+ microservices across 4 clusters.
- Mentored a team of junior and supporting engineers; prioritising tickets, pairing on solutions, and training engineers on AWS, CloudFormation, Kubernetes, Linux, Bash and troubleshooting.
- Led a company-wide cost-reduction project that cut AWS spend by 60%, tuning Karpenter to minimise node churn, migrating OpenSearch clusters to private endpoints to reduce NAT gateway costs, and rightsizing databases and pod requests/limits using PerfectScale and Datadog.
- Further reduced AWS spend by decommissioning unused EC2 instances, EBS volumes and RDS databases, and introduced a tagging policy to track cost by project.
- Cut application deployment time from around an hour to under 10 minutes.
- Designed and automated ephemeral pull-request environments using GitHub Actions and Argo CD ApplicationSets.
- Automated deployment of AWS Lambda functions through CI/CD pipelines built in TeamCity and AWS CodePipeline.
- Implemented KEDA and Karpenter for pod and node level autoscaling, enabling scale-to-zero in lower environments during quiet hours and reducing compute costs alongside spot instance adoption.
- Standardised environment configuration with Kustomize, using shared base configuration and environment-specific overlays.
- Hardened cluster security by enforcing default-deny network policies, disabling privileged mode and privilege escalation, and requiring workloads to run as non-root.
- Drove Infrastructure-as-Code best practices, standardising on CloudFormation across teams for consistent, repeatable deployments across environments.
Software Developer
2019 - 2021
The Travel Corporation
- Automated deployment workflows using Octopus Deploy, enabling consistent multi-environment releases with rollback support.
- Monitored infrastructure, application and microservice performance using Datadog — building custom dashboards and alerting, and using APM and log analytics for proactive issue resolution and root cause analysis.
- Contributed to the design and development of distributed web applications, following agile practices including continuous integration, TDD, peer reviews, refactoring and knowledge sharing.
- Liaised with other teams to deliver integrated solutions, peer-reviewing their solution designs, providing technical documentation and support to the application support team, and contributing to refining delivery methodologies.
KS5 Coordinator & Head of Computer Science
2016 - 2019
Mossbourne Community Academy
- Led the Computer Science department, overseeing curriculum design, team development and student progress across GCSE and A-Level.
- Designed and delivered a whole-school Computer Science curriculum focused on programming, databases and emerging technologies, increasing student uptake.
